I was having our school session this morning with John and Julia when John looked out at the window and exclaimed:

“Yook! Is that a rocket ship?”

I looked out the window. There painted in the sky, was a bold vapor trail that ‘yooked’ eerily familiar to the one the Space Shuttle left over Cape Canaveral this past July 4th. We had driven up to Cape Canaveral from West Palm Beach with my Mum and step dad Neil and all the kids. We watched the Shuttle launch from the beach as we grilled hot dogs.

I looked back at John and said, “wow John, how do you remember something like that you’ve only seen once in your life and it was two months ago?” I explained that airplanes made trails like that as well.

He just smiled.

And I smiled right back.

Be warned: In case you couldn't tell from the url, this isn't a PG Site or a 'cute daddy blog' - you'll find lots of expletives and general silliness here, along with nicer, friendlier stuff. You could say this is an outlet for having to hold my tongue around the little ones all day. ;-)
