Cute Little Bastards

We bought web cams a few years ago to make business travel a bit easier and so that we could see Max and Charlie when they are in California during the year. Being away from each other is really hard on all of us and if we are able to see one another, at least on a computer, I thought that we might feel closer than normal. The web cam thing never really took off. The traveling parent never remembered to grab the laptop cam before they left for their trip and I am not sure whatever even happened to the cam at Max and Charlie’s house. It has been a good 3 years or so since those cams saw the light of day.

Last month I started a new job that is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours of commute time each way depending on the traffic. Since my last job was 5 minutes away, I was able to spend about 2 extra hours a day with John and Julsie. This has been hard on me and hard on the kids, so I found the web cams and Julian and I set them up. It has been very successful, so successful in fact that Julian decided to try again with Max and Charlie since they are currently in California. After 1/2 hour program installation session, Julian had Charlie up and running and able to view our web cam (they haven’t found theirs yet).

John and Julia love to wave to the camera and blow sweet kisses. Last night was a little different though. I walked into the room with the web cam and found John standing in front of it spanking his butt. Now where did he learn this?

Dad…what DO you do with them during the day while I’m working?
